According to reader’s digest’s post –
You need to get rid of that scratched up cutting board, that over frozen food, scratched non stick pans, old spices, plastic cutlery, old plastic storage containers, Chipped plates, bowls, mugs; The junk drawer; Extra cups and mugs
Empty the kitchen

I have taken a regular fridge bottle. I have added water but not filled it to the top because we will be adding some things. It has a capacity of 1 litre.
Firstly I am adding a few camphor balls you can get it from any nearby departmental store. It acts as a disinfectant. It keeps mosquitoes and flies away. You may crush and add them
Then we add around 3-4 tablespoon salt. This also works as a disinfectant and keeps insects away.
Then we are adding alum. It cleans the water.
You may add essential oils for fragrance. It is optional.
Leave this mixture for one night. You may use it even if the camphor and alum are not fully dissolved.
All around 500 ml in 2-3 litre water when mopping the floor.
You need to make sure that you keep this away from children. Keep it safely labelled in a place where your children can not access it.

Use a spray bottle, fill it with the mix.
I’m adding extra virgin olive oil. This makes it useful for furniture especially wooden.
You need not add olive oil if you will use it for kitchen purpose only.

Even if you use a dishwasher, you should wash your utensils by hand also sometimes. Dishwashers tend to leave certain difficult spots.
If you see white stains on your dishes when they come straight out of your dishwasher, or any other chemical stains or odours, make sure you get your dishwasher regularly serviced because otherwise, it leaves it is salt and dish shiner stains on the utensils. This can be harmful because their detergent salts and shining liquid chemicals could end up in your stomach through your food. And all this could be prevented by just the regular servicing of your dishwasher.
